The Duck Smith House is a 1914 farmhouse which was remodeled in 2005 by two sisters who had a vision of keeping the farmhouse feel but with a little more elegance and warmth. Upon your arrival, you will immediately be met by the sisters and made to feel as if you always belonged in the house. Step right in.

Each of the four bedrooms and their bathrooms has been decorated to make you feel comfy and special. Deciding which room can be a hard choice as each one has been its own charm.

The house is situated within the city limits of the quaint town of Seagrove the pottery capitol of United States and a short drive to the North Carolina Zoo.

Walk right next door to one of the area potters and enjoy all their wonderful pottery. Out the driveway to the north less than a mile are two more pottery shops. If you go south from The Duck Smith House less than a half a mile is the center of town where you will be able to park and walk around to a number of the pottery shops and a gallery.

Potters are scattered throughout the Seagrove countryside along winding and twisting roads. They say there are about 100 potters in the area. As you go around a bend you will see a potters sign, pull in and see all of their wonderful works.

If you are into birds, you will love Suzanne's bird feeders and her way of hanging them from the 100 year old walnut tree. It's amazing how she did it.

Bring your walking shoes if you'd like to take a hike through the numerous paths through the woods on the property and listen to the birds or the rooster up the hill.

Step back in time...come to Seagrove; be pampered and enjoy your stay at The Duck Smith House Bed & Breakfast.
